What is StopRussianRecruiters.org?

StopRussianRecruiters.org is an information resource of the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Its purpose is to document and publicize unlawful and deceptive recruitment practices of the Russian Ministry of Defense which intensified significantly following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Why do we want to stop Russian recruiters?

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have suffered very heavy losses. After losing over a million personnel, Russian commanders began recruiting foreigners to replace these losses and continue so-called "meat assaults."

According to independent journalists, official reports, and testimonies from captured foreign soldiers:

  • Soldiers can be executed for refusing to fight.
  • They often face racism and abuse.
  • Their families receive no compensation if they die.
  • Wounded soldiers often do not receive proper medical care.
  • Casualties among foreign recruits are extremely high.

The mission of StopRussianRecruiters.org is to stop these scams and save lives. We want to prevent people from joining the Russian Armed Forces — whether by choice or by deception.
